Once in a while, it is nice to change things up a bit. I am thankful for gals who can design blogs so nicely! What a gift they have! My new friend, Carol — “The Design Diva” — designed this new look for Joy In The Truth. I do hope you like it!
To celebrate the fresh, new look, I’d like to give a gift to one of you — the daily devotional I am currently reading. It is awesome! Founded in God’s Word, it gives daily encouragement and challenges to grow in the Lord. Already in January 2010, God has used the scriptures and writing in this devotional by the Blackaby Brothers to minister to my heart and to confirm ways He is instructing me to walk in obedience. This devotional is one of my new favorite gifts to give!
My daily quiet time with the Lord and in The Word is sacred to me. I protect that time. I need that time. I love that time. He gives me water to drink, and I desire to honor Him and proclaim His praise. Only by His grace.
Just leave a little comment. In a few days, I will let you know who is receiving the gift of “Experiencing God Day by Day Devotional” by Richard & Henry Blackaby. Thank you for visiting!

Hey Sharon! I love the new blog look! Very pretty!! I just love your blog anyway! So many truths that God lays on your heart to share makes it that way!
Please keep Austin in your prayers–his upper respiratory infection has flared up and coupled with the wisom teeth "fun", he's not too perky! Running a fever and such. Bless his heart. Getting meds this afternoon.
Still working on the website…thanks for your encouragement. I talked to another photographer, and she said it took weeks for her to complete! At least I'm on the right track!
Have a beautiful day, sweet friend! The devotional looks awesome!!
Hugs,
Susan

I love the purple!
I'm not a morning person, but in the new year, I've committed to reading the Word first thing in the morning. I got my two boys (ages 8 and 10) in on it too-they're using the devotional books they got for Christmas.

You have such a sweet, giving heart, Sharon. Makes me smile, and I'm certain it makes God smile.

I love the Blackaby's! Thank you for your sharing! It is such an encouragement to hear about how children can be raised up to be selfless in this world where materialism and selfishness reign! Your family is truly an encouragment and inspiration to mine!
Blessings,
