My beloved Trader Joe’s, I beseech you on behalf of all of us Buck Countians who ADORE you. I have called your corporate office, e-mailed you and chatted with your managers in the closest stores to me.
Bucks County, Pennsylvania, needs a Trader Joe’s. Seriously! Trader Joe’s customers from all over Bucks County have to travel to neighboring counties (Montgomery County) or states (New Jersey) to enjoy the pleasure of shopping at Trader Joe’s. A minimum of 40 minutes of driving is required from my home town of Newtown, PA, to get to the closest Trader Joe’s. It’s worth the drive for sure. We love Trader Joe’s ( as evidenced by my shameless begging herein). But I only make the journey every few months due to distance.
You have whet our appetites with your fabulous food and smart prices, now please satisfy us with the honor of your presence here in Bucks County!
Your wonderful website states your slogan: “Your Neighborhood Grocery Store”. Hmmm…haven’t seen ya ’round these parts. Please come to our neighborhood! Our county at least. This is a GREAT DEMOGRAPHIC for you!
I searched your site for the closest Trader Joe’s….oh the heaviness that filled my heart to see it’s automated response:
Many a friend and I have bemoaned the sad fact that nary a Trader Joe’s can be found in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. My girlfriends and I have piled into minivans and pilgrimaged together to Trader Joe’s with insulated bags for your Organic Frozen Broccoli Florets and other items requiring refrigeration. In one shopping trip, we’ve stocked up on a dozen bags of your Soy and Flax Seed Tortilla Chips just to get us through until our next grown-up play date at Trader Joe’s. Marinated legs of lamb have been seen jumping into my shopping cart (hubbies favorite!). Your sesame-coated almonds are beckoning even as I write this. Please, Trader Joe’s, come!
Now, I have taken the initiative of doing a little retail research for you. Please note the pictures above. The perfect retail space is available to you right here in Newtown. I stopped with my children (who were mortified) and took a few pictures. The phone number for the leasing real estate company is right there on the sign: 215/925-4600. Call right now. Please. It’s a great location. Terrific town. Friendly people. Dynamic demographic!
We will welcome you with open arms and shopping carts just waiting to be filled to overflowing!
Trader Joe’s, your favor of a reply is requested!
Sincerely and with great hope,
Sharon (Joy In The Truth)

Oh Sweet Sharon…my heart breaks for you. I will pray for one (maybe even two!) Trader Joe's to visit and stay in your neighborhood s-o-o-n! I don't know what I would do without my dark chocolate covered almonds rolled in sea salt, and my marinated rosemary/basalmic vinegartte chicken. Oh, and the roasted garlic humus and gorgonzola gnoche. And the…
Sniff, sniff…tear, tear…I am saddened with you. Next time you're down this way, we'll hop on over to TJ's and stock you up! Much love, Sam
