Pure and Faultless Religion

May 4, 2009 | 4 Comments

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says…
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” James 1:22, 27

God has given our Gabrielle a sensitive heart for orphans and children wanting to be adopted. For her birthday outreach this year, in lieu of a birthday gift for Gabrielle, she invited her guests to bring an item for orphan babies with special needs. We prayerfully chose to team up with The Starfish Foster Home (click here), whose mission is to save the lives of Chinese orphans with special health needs. We chose this organization because, rather than just requesting cash donations, they suggested certain items to donate that will help them care for the babies. This gave Gabrielle and her family and friends the opportunity to shop for items that would go directly to help nurture a special needs orphan baby.

We will be packing up the items and shipping them off to Starfish in the name of the Lord Jesus and for His glory. Gabrielle will be writing a letter and we will include a picture of Gabrielle with all of her friends at her birthday celebration. As unto the Lord. We pray that each baby who is diapered, or who receives medication, or who is fed with one of these bottles comes to know the saving love of Jesus.

Gabrielle’s family and friends were so very generous! Look at all of the items we are sending Starfish in Jesus’ name. We thank you, and we pray He blesses your hearts to overflowing! We pray for these precious orphan babies, that God may place each of them in the family that is just right for them. And mostly we pray God is glorified!

“‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for Me.‘” Matthew 25:40 (NIV)

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 (KJV)

Simply precious! Thank you for shining her light and yours in the nations. You exude Christ’s aroma and the scent reached this missionary mommy all the way in Costa Rica. Thank you.

    Blessings from Costa Rica,
