Josh and Brie are loving their first-ever experience at summer camp a few days a week. Thy are attending the Crimson Eagle Summer Camp at Philadelphia Biblical University, which is just fifteen minutes from home. The first day I picked them up, they said “Can we come back tomorrow?”. The answer was “you’ll be back in a few days”, but I was so delighted that they enjoyed it so much! Does their parents’ hearts good!
Joshua is enjoying baseball camp this week. As much as he LOVES football, basketball, and soccer, he has never played organized baseball. He is learning the sport with enthusiasm and interest. He’s also persevering during this current heat wave! One of Joshua’s things he recognizes about himself is that he perseveres. “Daddy and Mommy, I persevered!” He works hard and sees things through to completion.
Gabrielle spread her wings in theatre camp this week. She studied her lines faithfully at home without being asked. It also helped this little kindergarten graduate learn to read some challenging words! Here are a few pictures of her today at her “premiere”. She was “The Imperial Hairdresser” and “The Princess”. She isn’t a drama queen in real life, and she handled this theatre experience nicely.
We love hearing about your summer, too! 🙂 Please share!
And to those many of you family and friends who have told us you are shy about commenting or intimidated by how to do it the first time, give it a try! (You all know who you are!) It really isn’t that hard! Expand that comfort zone! It’s really very fun, and it’s an additional way to keep in touch! 🙂 And have we mentioned that it is really fun!?!?

Good Morning dear friend! Oh I love these pictures. That camp looks fabulous. I might steal information from you, Emily would JUMP at the chance for theater camp – she loves anything to do with singing, dancing, etc. In fact, we go to Bristol Riverfront a couple times a summer for their children’s productions.
It looks like both of your treasures are enjoying their summer – yippee! You are a wonderful mommy giving them oodles of great expereiences.
We are missing you friends and can’t wait to be in your company again.
Love,
Heather

Hi Sharon,
Like you, I have a drama queen and a sports fan, too. Isn’t motherhood grand?!
We are spending our summer playing baseball. My son’s team won the District so we are on our way to State. If we win there, we’ll go to the World Series. The cool thing is my husband played in the World Series 30 years ago (1978) at the same as of our son now!
Praying we go all the way in 2008!
blessings,
Micca
