“…whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Cor. 10:31
God was faithful again to give me our portion for the first day of school today. I got up extra early for my morning quiet time with Him today. I just needed that extra time with Him today. As I sat quietly and opened my Bible, He led me to the above scripture. This is our prayer for ourselves and our children, that in whatever we do as imperfect but willing vessels, God is glorified. I was so thankful He brought me here in His Word today.
Then, He brought me here: “Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you.” 1 Cor. 15:1-2 Wow…another heart’s prayer of ours…that our children would stand firm on the Gospel and hold firmly to His Word.

My heart is still and quiet before Him that He gave me these scriptures for the first day of school. He met me perfectly through His Word. He gave us our perfect portion for life and for the first day of school. I shared these scriptures with Joshua and Gabrielle during their breakfast devotion time. They may not yet understand the depth and magnitude of the truths of these scriptures, but God will be faithful to minister His love to their hearts through His Word.
