I would be remiss as the Mommy and official Family Historian of our little family to let this beautiful weekend go by without acknowledging a huge answer to one of the cherubs’ biggest prayers. For months, if not years, Joshua and Gabrielle have daily prayed for a doggie. On Friday March 5th, the children’s prayers were answered. Indeed, when Joshua and Gabrielle laid their eyes on her, their hearts were joyful and they rejoiced in the Lord for His answer to prayer.

Holly is a 2-year old West Highland Terrier whose owner needed a new home and family for her. We hope that we honor our commitment well to that precious woman by giving Holly a loving, caring home.

Josh and Brie are having a ball. Jim just gave Holly her first bath as a Sloan. I just blew dry a doggie’s hair for the first time!!! (Holly’s previous owner did that and suggested we do, too.) As I type, Holly is flying by my feet chasing a ball. Occasionally while going through the kitchen, she slides across the tile floor. Life here in the Sloan Home changed monumentally on Friday. And the children’s hearts are joyful and rejoicing in the Lord.
