Jim and I celebrate our birthdays exactly two days apart. Isn’t that fun?

I am so thankful to the Lord for the best girlfriends on the face of the earth! I love each one for their uniqueness. Nurturing and nourishing my friendships is reverently important to me. I am thankful to the Lord for my girlfriends. I pray I honor Him with all the friendships He has given to me. My heart is humbly thankful as I praise Him for the many blessings in my life from His gracius hand.

I wanted to share a few pictures from my birthday on Wednesday, and I will do a “photo montage” in a future post. Today, I just want to share a these two pictures from one of my favorite parts of my day: A Birthday Ambush Mailbox Make-Over! My beautiful girlfriend, Shannon, who is “sweetness personified”, along with her two oldest children dressed as leprechauns, did a surprise ambush of my mailbox and decorated it with leopard print balloons, a purple balloon, purple garland and a Happy Birthday sign. They were trying to surprise me and do it without me knowing (they parked their car down the street and ran up to my house). I had no idea they were here, but I walked out to my car to get something from it and my heart was both humbled and so blessed to see them at work with huge smiles on their faces! Thank you, Shannon, and your two oldest leprechauns for making my day! Everyone should have a friend like you! I know your kindness and great idea will spur others on to shower love on their girlfriends, too! Love you!
