Yep, that’s what they call me – MOM. And boy do they call me! “Mom, I need something.” “Mom, he is bothering me.” “Mom, she is not helping clean up.” “Mom, the dog just threw up.” “Mom, what’s for dinner?” “Mom………!!!!!!”
And honestly, I love it. While the frustrations and challenges of motherhood can seemingly throw me over the edge at moments, my heart is so humbled and thankful that God has given us children – a heritage and reward from Him. Wow. And wow again. “Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from Him.” (Psalm 127:3)
Sometimes in the evening when we are reading the Kids Day by Day Bible with them before bedtime, I will pause and let them fill in the blank of a verse if I think they know the scripture. On April 22, our chapters in the Kids Daily Bible that evening were Proverbs 30 and 31. When I got to verse 28 of Proverbs 31, I read “Her children arise and call her….” (pausing for the word “blessed” from my cherubs). It was quiet for a moment and then Joshua said, “Her children arise and call her mom!” Yes, they do. They call me mom. And I know myself that I am one blessed woman. A blessed wife. A blessed mom. Thank you, Lord.
Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts and girlfriends! I love you! And I am so thankful and dependent on the truth that “He gently leads those who have young”!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and really teaching us TRUTH about relationship with the Lord and how it should be our greatest desire above all else. These words especially touched me…
"If we are not careful, we can inadvertently bypass the relationship in order to get on with the activity. When you are busy in your activity for God, remember that God leads you to the experiences in order to bring you to Himself."
Thank you again for sharing your wisdom!
Love you,
Wendy
