“Come near to God and He will come near to you.”
James 4:8
Updated 10/19/09 at 7:50 PM – “MICH” – enjoy your serendipity! Congratulations!
When I was in youth group as a teenager, we would have little weekend retreats called a “Serendipity”. A weekend full of surprises and discoveries that encouraged us in our walks with the Lord. “Serendipity” quickly became one of my favorite words. I remember these “Serendipities” well and the warm memories still linger in my heart. We would draw nearer to God during our youth group Serendipities, and our friendships were sweetened as well.
Today is my first “Serendipity Sunday” post. Perhaps you will receive a little serendipitous gift that will draw you near to God.
For the last two years, my favorite devotional has been “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young. Love love love that devotional! It quickly became my favorite gifts to give to family and friends for birthdays or special occasions. I am still reading Jesus Calling over and over, but I discovered another devotional serendipitously that is really blessing me: “Experiencing God Day by Day” by the Blackaby brothers.
Share with us one of your favorite serendipitous treasures from God’s heart to yours. A verse. A word of encouragement from a friend. An unexpected blessing. Share a sweet serendipity that still warms your heart. A serendipitous gift of the “Day by Day” devotional may be your next surprise blessing!
“One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek Him in his temple.”
Psalm 27:4

I love the word "Serendipity"
The definition is:"good luck in making unexpected and fortunate discoveries" I don't think there is any luck about it. With God there are many unexpected and fortunate discoveries.

I have never posted before, but I want you to know that your words always bless me, encourage me, and point me to Jesus! Thank you! My favorite devotional that I turn back to time and time again is Streams in the Desert…another one is by Oswald Chambers (can't remember the name, and the book is in the room where one of my son's is still sleeping π )I can always find treasures and a word from Him in both of these books.
Thank you for your faithfulness to reach out to us women!
In His Love,
Kelly

Sharon I had a serendipity moment on Monday. My husband, son and I toured a University choice that our son is considering for next year. I honestly was not expecting it to be as wonderful as it turned out to be. Can't say one thing negative. I was completely surprised and delightfully overwhelmed by the entire day.
Trust all is well with you,
Joy
